The site shows an adult Surinamensis , look at the spot shape and size, body markings, colors of the fins. Also some juvenile Geo's can be difficult to identify.

Yes As far as I can see they look like them...
but I saw in many places that they're rare..

I don't mind if it's Altifrons or something else..Just wanted to find out exactly what I'm keeping

I have some geos that look exactly like those. I bought them as jurupari but I've seen them labeled as altifron and sumerience as well

It's not Jurupari..I can say that for sure..They are in the Surinamensis complex...
But it takes an expert to identify exactly what they are...

Not a expert but looks alot like the geophagus abalios i have...hope it helps

less than 3 inches...Their tails do have a pattern at the moment..
