Hey there monsterkeepers! I'm new to this forum, so i want to show my piranha tank
I recently bought a 140 gallon aquarium instead of my 65 gallon juvenile tank - where i had six Pygocentrus nattereri's. My plan with the 140 gallon tank, was to make a amazon-like looking aquarium.
First of all, i needed a tank. So i found a cheap one (used) online, and went off in my little car to get it

...Not too much space in there! But got it home, and the project could begin.
First of all, I had to make the background. I also wanted to make room for an internal filter.

The background is made from building foam (don't know what it is called in english), and on the picture you see the space for the pumps and filters.
Filtration is powered by two 1000L/H powerheads, and is made (from the bottom and up) with bio balls, rough filter foam and fine filter foam.
Next, I had to decorate the background, and this was done with a product called Alfix (a cement-like product we have in Denmark, used by a lot of aquarium builders) mixed with powder colours.

With the background all done, i just had to setup the tank in my living room.
