Thanks ktrom13. I got lucky with that tank, it was ony $40 on craigslist and i just had to reseal it and put one of the glass sides back on.
 
Nice set up. In that filter pic what is the colorful stuff you are using for media?
 
Its maybe 70% submerged. its hard to tell from the pic but the water runs over a drip plate then over the scrubbies. I actually have filter floss/quilt stuffing that i got from walmart on top of the plate now.

Thanks vamptrev, no we dont know each other but its funny you said that because ive been lurking so long, I "cyberly" feel as if I know many members on here just from reading everyone's post over the years!!!!
