Some of my Wolves

Golds are my #2 fav wolf after reds. Your fish makes me want to get a big tank and get a nice schooling pack. That wolf looks like he's ready to break thru that divider. Nice fish!

Awesome, your curu is around the same size as mine, lol you could see the lump in his stomach. Mine hasn't quite come out of his shell but he's getting more bold slowly but surely. Do you have any of the wolves together or all separate?

hahaha nice! for me it was the purple. first Wolf I got. And he was a beast! as for that divider i had to make it more beefier. the gold and Red went at it. red got jacked up. but he is fine..nothing major. just is whole head got some nice wounds. healing up nice though.

mine took...im guessing 3-4wks it started to eat tilapia. then after that it took pellets. I had purple with the sp. and sp tuahuayo together. between the wolfs. only a few fights. but mostly they left each other alone. I only mixed hoplias and ery together. never did hoplias with hoplias. There is member here who has all his big wolves together.

I think wolves with wolves are cool, I'm very intrigued when they're together. And that's DB, his tank is so nice. I'd like a tank like that someday. Just a few minor tweaks. I had my malas with my curu, I'm actually becoming suspicious about one not being a mala, he's quite different from the larger one. I took them out cause I didn't want them to be preyed upon and I'm also going to get rid of one. But I on,y had them in together for a week to two. No problems. Just the curupira Aetna similar sized fish so I just got worried.

Almost ready to go into GP. for how much he eats. never ending hahaha.

Nice! My old gold was crazy active. If golds had a red color and got bigger, I'd have a tank full of them. Love this species, nice pick up

Should check his threads out, very nice and informative. I'm growing out two malas to comm with my curu then whichever one is more personable or active will be the one I keep. IMO only an aimara will be able to take a dovii out. They have more of a drive it seems, more persistence. My experience is only with malas and reds and they run from fish that didn't give up regardless if they were winning the fight. And aimara and lacerdae a are the only two to keep up in size with a dovii.

Never owned a gold. I've kept multiple rainbow wolffish(red I suppose) over the years. I like the Hoplias genus 2 to 1 over them. I think I'm subconsciously turned off by the blunt nose head shape. They are starting to grow on me a bit though.
