Dead bala as feeder for pacu?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I don't trust even feeding dead feeders to my peacock bass. You can never be 100% sure that it died from a temp shock. It could also have parasites and the decaying fish could harbour harmful bacteria. Wouldn't want your oscar to get HITH, ;)

freezing will kill any parasites or fungus in a dead fish.

Still better than just not having a heater, which is what I thought. No biggie, once I accidentally plugged in a heater that was on my carpet, that wasn't good :/
I wouldn't feed that bala to my fish. It's just too much of a risk for 1 meal.

Two weeks!...thats actually a pretty good return policy and I'm surprised they have something like that in place.

yes, it's a very generous return policy

I go to petsmart for all the fish in my daughter's little tank. I've gone back to take advantage of their policy many times because my kids tend to think fish eat what people eat

I hope you tip those petsmart employees for all the hard netting and misinformation.
