I don't trust even feeding dead feeders to my peacock bass. You can never be 100% sure that it died from a temp shock. It could also have parasites and the decaying fish could harbour harmful bacteria. Wouldn't want your oscar to get HITH,

He was not in my tank for 2 months I only owned him for 1 day and he wal alone in a QT tank where I forgot to plug in the heater

I go to petsmart for all the fish in my daughter's little tank. I've gone back to take advantage of their policy many times because my kids tend to think fish eat what people eat
