how can fish just vanish?

I would start looking under couches and areas like that, where they could jump to ground but still flop to cover.
If you have any ornaments, check them. I lost a small plec in a two foot tank years ago; turned out he swam in a large shell thing and trapped himself. Was a mystery for ages lol
If you removed the shell from the tank I bet that mess stunk to the heavens above.A skeleton/husk fell out, months later
just realized I have a super cute 8 inch albino birchir could he have eaten them? they would be half his length so he would gobble 3 in a day? Ive never seen him go for another fish but look at this video
any idea on the species? I just don't get how he would catch them they are ROCKET GARS also there is a ruby shark in there that is the same size as the gars the poly did not touch??? ever lived together long time makes no sense?

It's going back a few years now lol, I think I was more horrified than anything else to notice; especially given that it fell out onto my hand :/
There have been a few "scarring" incidents in the formative fishkeeping years lol
