Did you pay Brassie money for it? Hope not.

Looks like a Frankie to me.

Yeah I'm thinking Frankie myself.

Any idea on its wild origin?

S. franciscanus is only found in the Sao Francisco Basin of Brazil, while S. brasiliensis is found quite widely across Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, parts of Argentina and Bolivia.

If they're found everywhere then why are they under quota for export?

Why are 99% of the Dorado we see in the hobby Frankies if Frankies are so hard to come by?

I don't know the origin, I could possibly find out but it doesn't make much of a difference for me. According to what I have read they are both very enjoyable fish, and very similar in all aspects.
Is there any significant difference in coloration as they grow up?
Aren't they just very similar in every single way?

This fish was collected in Paraguay.

Have you ever seen 2 large Frankies swimming side by side? All mine became pretty aggressive when large and would absolutely try to kill each other.

The 2 Brassies here have swam side by side for a long time now.

Brassies also seem more colorful.

IF you actually got WC Frankies and not farm raised you're doing very well and I'd be pretty proud of that..... :)

This is a very reliable wholesaler, if they claim it's wc from Paraguay, I believe them.
This guy is eating pellets already!
