Sorry should have gone on to add,by providing apple snails for the Gt's to eat.
I made this mistake thinking they would be ok and they were regrettably eaten.

I like my snails with a little butter & garlic .....

Getting a
If money is no object then get the bigger tank. C'mon, this is a no brainer. While a 55 isn't too small to house a GT for life, it's not exactly ideal, either.

You've been given some good advice in this discussion, you might want to backtrack and re-read some of it.
getting a 75 gallon already said that.. Looking for schooling fish??

I give up on this thread.
The op has been advised about dithers several times and still wants to add neons!!!
I have no intention of being rude to anyone on this forum and our opinions can differ.
Forum member fishbum has shown me ignorance is bliss in several of his posts, however I must thank him as no one has called me a kid for at least 20 years.
I also think it's nice that he worries about his Gt's calcium levels hahahahahahahahaha
Do you read anything at all? You continue to show your inexperience by not reading anything, and just posting. If you gave up on this thread, why announce it? Just leave. That would be the adult thing to do. And then you post again? And you wonder why I think you are a child. No intent of being rude huh? Your last sentence would say otherwise... And your advice on keeping a 10" fish is not only extremely conservative, it is also not necessary.

Of all the years I have been keeping fish and infrequently visiting forums, you are the first person to claim they have had a Gold Saum eat snails. And considering you like to quote people and then disagree with them, there is something fishy about you saying that.

and I did read all of your posts! I am not that much in love with the schooling fish you posted, that's why I'm asking again because instead of helping everyone is showing childness and arguing.

I love the look of the red jewel chichilid! 3 in my 75 gallon GT tank with a few giant diano as a dither fish?

And I don't want a chance of my GT getting beat up by the jewels so if they might beat GT up then maybe no, also I would get only 3 males or 3 females? 5-6 giant diano dithers?

put whatever dithers you want in there.

eventually, my bet is, they will end up dead. if you happen to get an aggressive green terror, by the time he is 8 inches he'll clear the tank out. and even if the fish are too fast for him to catch, if he is trying to catch them theyre going to constantly be stressed out. and fish that are under a lot of stress end up getting sick. then you have a sick tank to worry about.
