Hemichromis Fasciatus

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Oh and I did what you said and removed the larger fish completely and placed it in a 10 gallon tank.

Keep divider down. You see the smaller one gain confidence and start to grow pretty quickly. Make sure you put divider back up before you add other one in.

Ok update time. Not a whole lot to report except my smaller of the two is basically almost completely healed and seems to growing. Here's some shots of the fish and a couple shots of the punching bags I have in with it (buttikoferi).

So interesting turn of events after watching the tank for a little bit, it appears I have 2 pairs of buttikoferi. I only bought 4 to begin with. What's funny is if the fasciatus goes on a rampage, they all school together. However, if the fasciatus is calm both pairs carve out seperation ends of the tank, and do some jousting at one another.

Lucky your bigger one isn't in there. I'm sure it would rock those guys.

So I forgot to post this video of the two fish being reintroduced a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure if there is much to glean from it, but I'll post it anyway.
You should have waiting longer!!! Big guys is way bigger! Did you divide tank??? Info!!!

How did things go?

Not great had to separate the next day. I've got them in seperation tanks now. That was 2 weeks ago and the smaller one is growing pretty fast without the other.
