I think I need to replace those as well as my LED supplies. They get warm too. $25-$50 more is still a small price to pay for the peace of mind and it's still not making the entire unit that expensive.

Only one I could find on Amazon that had reviews and wasn't pricey.

Dumb question but i know nothing about electronics. What does that thing do and where does it get installed ?

In regards to our pumps it just replaces the brick that is the power supply. What it does is take 120vac and turn it into 24vdc but with a higher amperage rating of 10amps.

Very true. I would have to agree. Especially with something running 24/7/365

My tank is in a window so I really only use the lights for a couple of hours a day. Maybe I don't need to do those.

I have Marineland LEDs on my 125. 3-24" models. The little power supplies that come with those get warm, but they have been working flawlessly for 5+ years now.

Any of you guys put a small piece of foam in the strainer that goes in the inlet ?
