Thanks tanks is 6x3x2 270 gallons and from pentair economy systems in Orlando florida

As of now it's just an fx6. And 2 ehiem 2217s .....I'll be making a sump in the next couple days

Tell me how u design. Im thinkin of going with Joey's design (

). 75 gallon sump filled with ceramic rings.

Nah too much hassle, rather just do overflow pipes (2 x 1" pipes). Love the DIY heater guard BTW. I'm using an ehiem 3000 pump. Gonna be pretty ghetto, but prob going to use duct tape to secure the pipes to the pentair

Isn't the ehiem 3000 only like 800 gph?........I'm thinking of a laguna max flow 2400

Well the ray already hurt itself on the driftwood so that's taken out now....on the bright side I have more room in the tank and will prob get a black arowana once I get the filteration situated

Well that sucks. I have two rays, was thinkin driftwood but I didnt want to waste footprint. Got ur PM, I'll send u texts on my filtration/setup when the 270 gets here. So 75 gallon sump and Im just doing ceramic rings, ehiem 3000 is gonna be too weak?
