I bought a Tigrinus over the weekend, it only 4". Now the store were feeding it earthworm, chopped prawn and silversides.
Ideally I want this little guy on pellet, I have read various thread that people have informed other to stay away from prawn/mussel. It's readily taking chopped whitebait is this ok? I'm planning on starting to poke some carnivor pellet inside the whitebait to start converting it to pellet.
Is it all seafood to stay away from? Or just crustaceans?
Here's a pic of the little guy just before it was bagged up.

nice pick up..i can see the dot on him, he will look stunner. if you want him on pellet, keep feeding pellet. If you want to feed him shrimp, stuffs a small piece of pellete in the shrimp.

I've read that feeding shrimp/prawn/mussel to young tigs can be a problem. Is this limited to these or seafood in general?
He takes whitebait/sprats readily.

I went looking for that post yesterday when I first saw the op mention prawns. Ive avoided those items at all cost with mine and its growing nicely. Mine enjoys tilapia, bloodworms, and sinking carnivore pellets.
