A little bit of context to this, the pride parade in Toronto was interrupted by BLM, they threw smoke bombs (real safe), and halted the demonstration with a "sit-in" which essentially they gave a list of demands to the pride organizer. Pride organizer really had no choice but to sign them, one of which included that no police were allowed to participate in Pride or something to that effect. Not only do I think that there is a ton of homosexual cops out there, but isn't that a bit of a safety issue? Seems to me trying to fight against racism is turning people into racists. I don't know if there is a solution to this anymore, I truly don't. It's like the feminist movements (or at least the latest mainstream push of them) where they want to show how women are better than men and deserve more rights than men, and how men are these awful people that sit there all day trying to figure out how to keep women down. These movements are no longer about equality like they once were. Absolutely blacks, ***s, and women were marginalized in society to a great degree previously, and the residual effects are still being felt now, don't get me wrong. But I personally have nothing to do with shooting unarmed black men, hiring more men than women, or shooting up *** clubs. If these groups really feel the playing field is so absolutely unlevel (and their examples aren't isolated incidents) then they are going to need to admit that just like most black people don't shoot at cops, and most *** men are not pedophiles - most middle class white americans don't have it out for them, and that as people we should all work together because it effects all of us.
Btw, here is a small example, I am sure *** G A Y is going to be blocked out on here. Still evidently treated as a swearword, but is that not offensive to a homosexual, to see their sexual orientation be on a list of offensive terms that can't be used on this site? Someone somewhere has to make a call, is it worth upsetting people that have done no harm just to protect them against those that still use old-school slang? Which seems worse really? Guess it depends who you ask, but this sensitivity everyone in North America is developing, this need to fight every cause because they can't accept that others have a different opinion of them (half of people that meet you won't like you anyway, why do you care so much if they don't like you for a certain reason like being ***) is going to get to the point that you can't even look at someone without them feeling offended, and then developing anxiety and depression about it.
BTW I identify as a bear, all my life I felt that I was a bear trapped in a human body. I demand you change the bill of rights to accommodate trans species individuals, and I demand you don't ticket me when I take a dump on your front lawn.
