For some reason we've come to appreciate eachother beyond the scope of fish keeping. I haven't seen you posting anything fish related so it leaves me wondering.
I literally check on this place every few years. Cause Li was/is a friend(he'll slice it as "was" after this, and I'm cool with that..) that I dealt with personally regularly at a time. For fish. I personally hung out with him and he's hooked me up many times with fish I wanted but needed a help in picking up, or that he had that I wanted and he was gracious enough to do that for me. He's experienced family tragedy. As well as I. I care about him. I care about the forum. Literally I told him yesterday it kills me to see it like this. I assure you I'm not here because I care of what anyone thinks of me. I could care less. I am Mr. 0 f*cks given.
I know every picture in the Monster Fish Keepers books while a lot here will never own them or care.
I can't explain your friends leaving in the past year and a half. **** I wouldn't stick around if this thread is what goes on. And apparently a lot feel the same way. I legit don't work here anymore. I once worked here. I with a few select others put in lots of time all hours of the day keeping this place going. Once it became all "****s and giggles". Anyone who really put in a 40-60 hr week moderating this place(that's besides a work week) for free, went bye.
So if you want to ask why your friends left 1 year and half ago.. Ask management. I'm the wrong tree to bark up. You're chasing a old dog that's never gonna bark. I haven't been a moderator here in a long long time. And at times in it's prime I held this place down by myself. When there was a member porn spamming at midnight? Yeah I was on it like a tick on a dog. Legit Dixon's a mod here now and cooler than hell and helped alot.. But alot of times other than Li, Me, Rallysman, Ewurm, Dixon that's all we had on deck at any time. There were way more mods than that. But some never really did anything, and some weren't really up to being mods to show up for work.
And hell I disappeared long before 2012... Anything after 2010ish or earlier were just check in's... Legit.

If you want to appreciate each other outside of fish keeping. There's messaging. Both on here and other services.

My knifefish wasted his last two cubes of bloodworms so I had to buy more. He basically fed them to the other fish.
