Very possible. Brooding stock needs to be around 2 years old. These guys are not even one yet. These would be good specimens for breeding cause mature wild stock carry disease and pathogens. Almost went into aquaculture while attending UofH.
I did something to the pond water outside and I triggered a massive orgy with the mahseers. Foam, smell and scales everywhere. I hate seeing them beat up and had to change the water condition to stop them ASAP. Pond is not big enough.
