i start my HOB, then pour water till it goes smoothly

I emptied it and tried that as well. I've had better luck it the past starting it then immediately pooring water.

Connect up the inlet pipes, then make sure that it's connected to the impeller firmly. If it doesn't work then, could be defective

I'm going to be pissed if it's defective. It was only 5 dollars and would just buy another but it takes so long to get here and I need a filter now. Should of ordered two....

It'll bring the water up right to the part where it bends and would start pushing out water hen just goes back down...

Lol finally got around to putting it on a tank...

Well had to buy another filter. Luckily I found one in New York so won't take as long. I got this one to almost work but right before it's about to start pushing water an air pocket hits the impeller and it loses all pressure.
