Biffa's and argentea looking real good, do you know the catch location of your biffa's

The Bifa's are from Rio Chacamax. they're the ones cichlidsoftheamericas.com sells. I think mine are both female, but they've never shown any inclination to breed or anything--just a total guess based on body shape. One IS bigger than the other, though.

Yea both females my male candelaria is a lot bulkier then yours and a much steeper profile, like the amount of yellow chacamax get

My heart skips a beat seeing argentea. Yours are lovely. I hope my black belt turns out as nice as yours.

Still one of my favirote tanks on the site. Cant beleive the whimpy syn turned into da boss...

Man great job tons of color, do you get much work done in while in the office ? I wouldnt be able to concentrate :)

Mine look great, but they don't have the size. Their body shape is just not quite right--like they're still juveniles. But they're over 2 years old. Gotta be adults by now, right?

I'm thinking very seriously of buying 12-14 of the best stock I can get and starting a breeding project. If you want to perfect fish, sometimes you just have to breed em yourself.

Yep, that Syn is nasty now. Not quite as bad as that Zonatus was, but he's in that league. And he used to look terrible, too. I thought he had worms or Hex for a long time. He had a sunken belly, long lanky kinda shape, fins always clamped by his side.

There's just no way to predict fish dominance.

Stunning tank man
Right on

a quick update. Nothing has changed at all since July. I got tired of the Midas spawning every other week, so I split em up.

I've added a couple of Regani into this tank that I just had no other place for, and tthey're starting to actually grow now.

The Zonatus are getting biiiiiiiiigggggg. And very deep blue.

the Breidohri is growing a lot slower than the old one I had, which is a real disappointment.

The 2 Argentea--they're the same as always.

The Synspilum -- used to be the wimp of tank, now look at him. Incredibly mean, too.

The tank, to me, is getting too crowded. I'm probably gonna re-home the Bifa's--before the Blackbelt and the Synspilum decide to kill one of em. :)
