Knobhill I'm only allowed ten tag otherwise there's a couple of other tags I would have added. I'm considering discussing this so we can decide which tags would fit better

No, My Friend....it is cured by spending time alone or with some friends here and there and learning and teaching yourself how to be perfectly 100% OK by yourself and alone because everyone on this PLANET should be ok without someone else. If someone can't be ok and totally comfortable and happy in their own life and make themselves happy and confident and enjoy life in their own existence of happiness and well-being, then being with someone else is the LAST thing you should be doing. You have to love yourself before loving anyone else.
Needing to be with someone else always is called a "Codependency" and a truly healthy individual needs only themselves and maybe a few friends (TRUE friends) and family. You should be totally content wiith the fact that "You are cool, you are awesome, you are a good person, you can do anything you put your mind to and most importantly you can do it WITHOUT ANYONE ELSE TO HELP YOU"
Cheers, Mate. You just need confidence in yourself , UNBREAKABLE FOCUS and a healthy mindset , nothing else. Focus on the most important things in your life right now. Set goals and achieve them. Goals that will help you or your family. Forget everyone else. It sounds like you have been taking care of others your entire life - you're 69 and you need to learn to be selfish enough to take care of YOU.
Selfish in a good way. It's OK to put yourself 1st sometimes.

Well said frank,most people these days care to much about what other people think of them.
I'm 36, my cousins are 69, 71 and 73 and they are in better shape than I am. It doesn't help that I lived life in the fast lane.....a RIDICULOUS life, most people would wonder how I am still alive after surviving it thus far, but i'm riding this b*tch out as far as it will take me. You're only as old as you feel.....gotta keep on keepin' on, Brother. Unleash the Beast inside you and show this world what you're made of.....Don't let ANYTHING keep you down.

I don't think it's about that - I think he's a man of Ol'Skool style and the New World is soooo different that it's breaking his heart or his Spirit or both. I say this because at 36 I feel the same way....I almost feel ashamed to exist in a world the way it's become today. It's embarrassing, TBH.....this is what we have become as Human beings. He's not alone in feeling this way. Sooooooo many changes soooooo fast and it was simply just TOO MUCH for a lot of people
