1) If there any new things added to your tank recently then you might have ick parasite present in your tank carried by newly added things.
2) Test your water to see if there any ammonia there, it will cause the fish lashing as well.
3) Ick present all time in all tank but if live stock getting stresses then ick will bloom due to the fish immune system got lower by stresses.
*If none of above then your fish just do it thing so you shouldn't worry much.
First i thank you for the reply... I didnt add any more new things to tank..nd my bio filter is work well.. N the water also new i feed them 3 times for week...so no waste or decaying uneaten food.. N tank temparature is 18c to 20c all the time..if you talking as ich for white spot..i count see it on their bodies that parasite.. And im new to having snakehead..but this behavior strange for.. And i added antiparasite to the the tank once but dont know whether its works in this temparature.. Temparature should raise to treat ich...

Ick usually start from the fish gill plate and hard to see, that's why people buying fish with no sight of white spot in LFS and start seeing ick few days or a weeks later in their tank depend on water temp (ick life cycle take longer in low temp tank). How long have you setup your tank? Have you test your water parameter yet? Your words seem like your tank haven't completed it cycle yet.
Its being second week of this tank.. Only bio filter works..no machanical filter... Im trying to breed Snakehead so i heard they need cold water for mate thats why i dont raise the temparature.... No nitrate its 0

Your tank is not fully cycle yet unless you seeded your tank with old bio media from other tank.
Also Nitrate 0 prove that your tank not cycle, and your channa getting ammonia burn and cause it slashing. test your water daily and make sure follow instruction for Nitrate test cause that one test very tricky and easy giving out faulty test result.
as yuki said it can be ick or it can be just flashing but watch your fish
closely and test your water parameters if it has only been 2 weeks
then it is mostly right that your tank isnt cycled properly... as for breeding...
if you want to put a lot of hiding places for them if you have a pair...
lots of holes, caves, lots of fake or real plants, planted and floating with
lights dimmed. i suggest adding live plants so you can cut back on wc
if you want them to breed. i'd keep temp at 21-23c but depends where
your located...if your in a area thats colder it better to try and trigger the
mating/breeding behavior with cooler water during wc and trying the rain
trigger affect. theres a snakehead sub section so check it out and
as your questions there as more knowledgeable sh keepers will be able
to chime in and help.
Thanks appreciate your reply.. If you could reply for this very thankfull..female strting to chase male..like attacking...female is larger than male.. Is this normal or something strange..
I own this species and several others . I wouldn't worry about flashing unless there is a secondary symptoms . What is your ph and how frequently are you doing water changes?
I highly recommend you do not use medications with channa, they are very sensitive to chemicals even salt adjetates them. I normally see flashing after water changes. they are tough as nails and will adapt to most water parameters but they are quite sensitive to changes in water chemistry. I only do water changes in the spring, top ups in summer and nothing in the fall/winter they are much happier in well aged water.
Temp wise 18-20 is breeding temp, to trigger breeding you'll need to go lower by about 5 degrees for the winter then Bring them backup to 18-20 to trigger spawning.
Female channa are typically larger then males, they also are the ones that "choose " a mate . Introducing one male and one female rarely works . the competition between males helps the female choose and even then it's not guaranteed she'll pick a mate . Rejected males will be hunted down and killed by the dominate female.
Unfortunately separating them and trying again won't work . your options are either to let them fight it out and hope she excepts the male or separate them and they will be solo fish from then on out.
If young enough you might get away with adding another female and a couple more males and let them sort it out. But if she's chasing him it's probably too late to try that.
I find male heavy groups of 5-7 is ideal for pairing . But. Keep in mind in a group it's likely only a pair will survive if your lucky and a solo fish if your not! Pairing channa comes at a cost!
