The majority of lego bricks, as someone has already pointed out, are made from Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. Some are also made out of High Density Polyethylene. Both plastics are very safe to use in the aquarium. It's worth noting that ABS and HDPE are like chalk and cheese regarding their properties. One of there many differences is their density (specific gravity) in water. HDPE is around 0.930 and ABS is around 1.06. Water is 1.000 (freshwater that is, salt water slighty more than 1.000). So basically HDPE will float in water and due to the air bubbles inbetween the joined bricks this will make any HDPE bricks extra buoyant. Although ABS usually sinks the air bubbles in between the bricks will probably make these float too but they won't be as buoyant as the HDPE bricks. In any case you'll need to anchor both types down. Don't be tempted to build your models underwater to do away with the air bubbles. What you'd then have is hundreds of little pockets filled with water which may stagnate and turn stale (i'm guessing that this could happen, someone else might chip in to offer an opinion on these little pockets of water). If your models should come apart in your tank there could be a slim chance that these little pockets of bad water could upset your tank.
