I really enjoy your vids
Beautiful tank very fun to watch

Thanks alot y'all.

The Zonatus are 2 years old, they gotta be a foot long. They play nice with everybody. Now, everyday, one of the 3 will turn white and do the flaring up/staring down a fish, but no lip locking, no real fights.....so far.

There's very little fin damage, not many fights. Just the flaring. They all do it at one time or another, and as they all get older, they do it a little more often. The Zonatus do it about the same as the others in the tank.

I guess I'd say there's lots of aggression going on, but little violence. I think it's because the tank's big enough for them to turn around and go away before it gets really violent--so that's what they do.

Great tank :)

Been a while since the last update. Same tank, most of the same fish (the Bifa's had to go). Added a male and female Trimac--gonna try like the 3rd Trimac in this tank. If it doesn't work out -- again -- that's OK because I have a 125 with a male thriving by himself in it. :)

The Midas "fry" in the sump are still thriving, too. They range in size from 2-6 inches now. There's gotta be 20 of 'em in there. Unless something else spawns, I'm just gonna leave em in the sump I guess.

I've been asked a few times what's aggression like in this tank. It happens daily now, so it's gotten worse as more of these fish reach adulthood. But, there's no injuries, there's no real fights, fins aren't all torn up on the big fish in the tank.

But, it's hard to capture it on video because if I come up with a phone to record it, they'll stop.....until now. so, it pretty much looks like this in this tank.

Impressive seeing all those argentea together. Yeah, I can imagine that as all those fish reach maturity that you'll need to thin the herd a bit. Nice update!

ragin_cajun ragin_cajun this was always one of my favirote tanks on this site but my lord ! Seeing a group of argentea is absolutely stunning. Man they must be amazing to look at in person

Thanks, ya'll. The Midas is a wild caught Red Barred Midas from San Francisco Libre Managua. It's a female. Citrinellum. I got it from Jeff Rapps couple years back. Wish I'd bought 10 of 'em and got a male to match.
