What kind of growth have you been observing?

What size did you get them and what size are they now?

Probably my favorite fish I never see. I only have one. I initially had two but lost one (of course the nicer one). I think he is in the 10 to 12 inch range and maybe 3- 4 inches tall. When I got him he was probably closer to 3-4 inches. I think he was in a 75g for the first two years and hit 6 to 8 inches there. Once I moved him into a 180 he grew to his current size pretty quickly

Interesing,I thought they topped out at around six inches.I can imagine how impressive they must look at nearly a foot in length.

Nice! Sounds roughly like the growth I saw with mine. I hope and pray you can tape yours at some point. We'd be mighty interested to see your specimen.

So just like me you've reached the high point of arrogance wherein you don't need to research fish you buy anymore, Krich? ;)

The max total length is about 14"-15" https://www.planetcatfish.com/common/species.php?species_id=766

My rear isn't blue enough from kicking myself for losing my trio so stupidly...

Lol,no I try to learn about every fish that catches my eye before going ahead and buying it.The little husbandry information that I did come across did not mention that eventual body length,I did not go on Planetcatfish however.

Beautiful fish. This is on my 2017 want list. Where can I get one?
Monster Aquarium, though I'm not sure how many they have left.
