Arowana In the USA, Legal or Illegal?

I know in Alaska Native fish is very Illegal. As for Non Natives species....

arowana's are not illegal in US.. Exotic Aquarium here in Sacramento sales them all the time has jardini and asain sometimes the african ones...but those are rarely avaible.

Wow, really? How about doing some actual research, instead of going by what you think you know. Even if the store was actually selling asian arowana, that don't make them legal.

Jar's and Lei's are Scleropages, so I wonder if technically that makes them Asian? Also the Formosus are from the islands that collectively are known as Ocieana which includes Australia. That may be what he was referring to?

Last I heard Asia and Australia were two different continents. Then again many people can't tell the difference between the two. Either way been stated many times in this thread ASIAN AROWANA illegal within the US.

They may redo the CITES in the US, so it could b a possibility.
