So I joined a group on Facebook and there is a member with a 40in GATF. He is housing it in a 4,000g/16,000liter tank. He posted some pics today of some of the gatf victims. Looks like it took out a 30in payara and a 24in dorado. Really amazing tank and fish. Someone posted in the thread below a pic of the monster. I have some pics that the owner posted but want to be respective of the owner and this board in relation to uploading them. If the forum rules allow it I can post them. He also posted a video of it eating but I was not able to save that.

Impressive gatf! Sounds like it has a nice home and nene taken care of very well.

Looks like he took that dorado half way down, if the size difference is that bad should be common sense. It's a nice fish nonetheless, nice tank as well, I see stuff like that and just think to myself, one day.. lol that thing has go some girth to it though. I see a big congi in there. I like the large dw pieces. Lucky guy, must've worked hard for it

expensive golden dorado!! looks like he still has a bichir

I've often dreamed of doing a riverine setup in the 5000-6000 gallon range and have a single gatf in it....throwing huge fish fillets in lol...man that looks awesome.

Not sure on timeline of kills but it has a long last of victims over the duration he has had it. It's growth has been extremely fast which I'm guessing has resulted in it growing faster than its tankmates. He has raised it since a baby and has only had it for 4 years which means it has grown close to 3ft in that time. That's much faster than others have reported aside from greenerinks greenerinks .

I'll see if I can get him to sign up here.
