I'm like,cichlids or polypterus.... Cichlids or polypterus.
Seriously though these guys all look really cool.
Does any body know of good biotope correct tank mates for these?

That's actually my plan, albeit a loose biotope. Stuff like African knives, ctenopoma species, Butterfly fish, congo tetras, synodontis and so on are fair game
I'm doing a group of knives, my 2 males plus another few females I have to find. A few african butterfly fish and a bichir. Plants are various anubias, then I'm getting bolbitis and vallisneria (found in Africa too)
Specifics are difficult due to a rarity of fish past bread and butter species.
My knife fish are a blast, I'm just wanting a group for a few reasons:
A: More knives, big plus
B: Less risk of injury from territorial aggression
C: Potential breeding/ interesting behaviour
My tank size limits me a bit, but I want to do a big African tank one day. This has been my dream from the start
I have been pondering on an African biotope for a while. Guys like you and jaws are definately pushing me closer towards it.
