Not everyone thinks the Senegal is nice looking bichir. Many think it's too plain looking and they don't get to a monster size. A lot of people (especially on MFK) are into monster fish, so endlicheri is more common choice for that.
Besides not that many people are hardcore poly keepers. They won't really notice the difference between a Nigerian or captive bred Senegal from a first look. For the most part, they look the same and captive breds are cheaper. Business definitely would make more money ordering cb senegals than wc senegals.

The size of WC sens outs me off. I'd rather go for a smaller one

Yea. that's another factor. Many people like growing out their fish out from small. So they'll go with the CB(comes in smaller sizes)

I'm getting small, 8-10cm. I believe they are WC, hopefully I can find out tomorrow
