Got most all of the pieces ready for plumbing the Ultima's today. The glass plumbing came in today. Thank you again for the suggestion Def Leppard Hysteria Def Leppard Hysteria these are sweet. I need to decide how to mount them though. How do you have yours mounted?

Got inside and washed everything today so it looks much better. I pulled everything out from the stand and threw in some metal bar shims to support where the sump has been moved to. I'm trying to avoid sagging over time.

Below is why I moved the intake plumbing behind the tank to terminate here. I think this looks as clean as you can make 2" plumbing look. This is the plumbing from intakes in the tank, to the inlets of the pumps.

The below is the plumbing for the outlets of the pumps to the ultima's.

Sorry for the brain dump and this may not make any sense but its legit:

The pipe to the left with the 45 degree elbows is to move the outake to the opposing ultima by a pipe width but not cross the path of another. When viewed from the front it will look straight and should only look like four vertical lines. Moving this line makes the closest intake and farthest return swapped per pump/ultima combo. The pumps and filters are on one side so I don't want them to perform uneven. Now they both go the full distance of the tank each AND the plumbing looks clean from the front.

I'm searching for an alternative cabinet but I thought I would ask if you guys have any suggestions? I'm sure the marine guys like to put there nice equipment in cabinets etc... I messed up my measurements and cannot fit the cabinet I wanted between the stand posts. It was this one:

https://www.amazon.com/NavePoint-Ne...25&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=9u+server+rack&psc=1

I need to find a cabinet that is: (LxWxH)

Less than 20" long (front to back)
Less than 21" wide (side to side) minimum 18" for 17" switches
Less than 26" tall (top to bottom).
Has viewing window or clear door (optional but preferred)

Any ideas? pics because pics

Could you wrap the stand with some furniture grade plywood ? Was planning to do this on my tank and attach it in sections with velcro or magnets.

The plumbing came our great. Clean as a whistle

You're very welcome. Project is looking great! I just have my sight glass in between the Ultima and the main waste line in my house (since that's where my line terminates). I don't think you can go wrong placing it anywhere on your drain line. One suggestion, if you haven't glued it in place yet, is to place unions before and after the sight glass so they can be accessed to clean the glass, if necessary. Not sure if you would need to install a double union ball valve on the top side if you are running them vertical, but there is pretty much constant water left in the drain lines after backwashing the Ultimas. Just an idea about future maintenance. I've installed unions on both sides of my sight glass, but haven't had to use them yet.

Thanks bro. I put a lot of effort and planning into doing the equipment clean and correct. I would hate to cover that with a skin. If possible, this is staying open.

Great point and suggestion as usual. Just picked up two more unions and will do just that. Thanks for the kudos!

Good lookin helper! My "helpers" have been avoiding me, my loud noises, and my plumbing fumes as I play in our fish room.

Thank you! She means well but sure doesn't help one plumb straight lol

i didn't read everything, but are those pool filters?

i have a 15' above-ground pool and my pool filter looks like that
