My 100 gallon is finally up

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the only problems I've had with the swap was the mystery snail got dropped and lost a good chunk of his shell but he seems to be ok and I haven't seen my normally sociable fire eel. I didn't see him during the move I just put the hollow decoration he usually hides in in the bucket and then put it back in the new tank but I'm actually getting a little worried he got stuck in the decoration and didn't make it if I don't see him by feeding time I'm pulling the decoration out and looking for him

love the picture of the ropefish coming out of the skull and the ornate in the middle of the sand, splitting the two colors. Will be interesting to see if they mix it and what side each fish stays on.

Also it is adorable how your lab is still watching his/her fish friends. :) What is your dog's name again? It is the little senegal that is the favorite right?

those are my 2 favorite pictures so far. Her name is sugar. The Albino sengalus is the house fish mascot. The regular sen has lightened up alot to a normal sen color with the new substrate. I found the fire eel in the decoration and when I touched him he moved so atleast he is alive, I also put the decoration on its side so I can see him. Also my led light got here 30 minutes ago and it looks decent for $25 I'll get pics of it later

Glad to hear your fire eel is ok. I had a senegalus get seriously stuck in a fake root some years ago. I was on the road so my wife had to hacksaw her out over the phone with me.

I hope your fire eel is ok and just stressed by the move.

I'm always happy when fish get upgrades! I'll also be curious to see what happens with the sand blending over time.
