Sooo,what did you do today?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Woke up at 4 am and dropped my GF at the train station, then went to do my community service from 6 am to 2 pm, which was pretty crummy, picked up nasty trash from alleys and parks.
Went to my mom's place with my dogs after and ate a bunch of good effing food.
Came home and did some laundry.
Productive day I guess.

Drove 456 miles round trip to admit my youngest boy to a lock down rehab/mental/life lesson facility. He had no ideal till we where about 100 miles in, He did not like it, but walked in willingly. had to go to OR, as WA does not allow locked down for teens 13 or older. He is 15.

Wow quite a drive, hope your son is successful there.Where did you tell him you were going when you got him in the car?

we had previously prepped for it, He thought he was going to a leadership school meeting, fancy word for you have been kicked out of school, but you can go to the alternative school, we picked up his brother and sister in law telling him we needed to drive them to pay off towing charges on there broke up car. they were actually there to help me zip tie if necessary. and carry into the facility. Thankfully that did not happen,
He fell asleep for the first 100 to 150 miles. glad he did.
He is a good kid, that just needs to learn priorities and responsibility, me and the wife to close to make that happen. he is youngest of 6 and only biological, rest were adopted at infancy. and doing fine, graduated have jobs. Figs my own blood be the one to go off the rails.

I do not find this to be true, again all adopted at infancy, 3 months old or younger. and they are my kids, now he may have the attitude that they are adopted and I am your blood working some thought pattern with him. but we have always stressed that there is no dif, you are our kids, no matter what blood is.

he just needs to learn that he does not live in a entitlement house hold, things are earned by work and respect.

Hello Pops; That had to be a hard thing to do. Sounds like you did the hard thing that may be best for the boy after a while. Hope it works out. Best wishes.

Reactions: FMA4ME and Hendre

Fed some bloodworm to the boys!

Cut the yard over the weekend. Sprayed for bugs....thats about it

Climbed up one of the trees in my yard and did some pruning.
I need to prune some of mine as well. My big oak needs trimming/thinning, but everywhere wants $900-1200 to do it!
But far too old and beautiful to cut down
