Reunited with my Clowns after 5 years!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Good luck fattening them up. What's this by the wayView attachment 1251456
It's a BGK or Black Ghost Knife. Surprisingly close to the stock I wanted to have in my 180 but the oscar I had was beating on the clowns and had to go. And I could never find anything close to quality juvenile JDs, just offcasts of somebody's attempts at ebjd. So I ended up with a hoard of clowns, a RTBS, and a BGK.

Great outcome and glad that the clowns made their way back to you.I like the saddlebag patterns, what are their sizes?

It's been a week since I got the guys back. Colour is improving and they are active and seem happy. Still need to put in some weight though, the bone running length ways behind The skull I'm visible in pretty much all of them. NLS is making up most of their diet along with some hikari, bloodworm, zucchini and cucumber. Hoping to see some weight gain soon

They'll be back in shape in time. A few years back when I bought a 5 inch sinny loach it actually took roughly 6 months or so, but he improved in size and colour within that time, so the progress is not extremely fast but it happens before you know it. I also feed on NLS and that loach after 4 years, is now a 9 incher big strong colourful loach. He just keeps growing.

Yours seem to have been under-fed a bit as considering their age, they are roughly half size in girth compared to my 5 year loaches and smaller than some but fat is not always good growth varies too regardless. They just need to fill out a bit and not showing their bone structure for everyone to see :)

When you feed on NLS in time you'll notice their yellow becomes deeper yellow and their fins get very bright orange. Just keep doing what you're doing and don't worry about not seeing immediate improvements.
