Emerald Creek Purple Garnet

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Dang. Should I top the pool sand with a layer of black? (I don't think that will look very good. What if I mixed black together with the PFS? Or do I have to do full on replacement? Unless if Vancouver_98683 Vancouver_98683 can send me some of that purple lol.
Someone mix two different sand here before and it turn out nice, i forgot who did it.
Dont the playsand you have has black in them?

I think jwd, burtobman did. I know I did when I was redoing my tank the second time...:and then my tank got TB,so I had to put it all in the garden lol. Just wondering if that will be enough black though.

Thanks, i didnt add any black on this sand, all the mix was already there when i bought it, i planned on adding more black sand just to make it more darker but i need to find the right grain.

No dont buy that, maybe its not a natural sand and chemical that makes it purple might not be safe for the tank. Ive seen some red sand in micheals craft store and i was really tempted to buy it but i dont think its made for tank.
I've done a little research on it. It's non toxic, but seen a few threads on various sites saying had bad results for a few reasons ranging from bleeding color into water after a bit to a guy claiming it caused a massive algae break out.
Top reviews shows an axolotl on it...?
