Fat! So much algae :(

Fat! So much algae :(

I know :( this was my first "attempt" at a planted tank. Kinda rushed it and bought plants from my lfs that had algae already. I don't really mind the algae but I do plan to get maybe a 40 breeder to replace this tank and I want to spend as much time aquascaping it (to the best of my ability at least)

Do a hydrogen peroxide spray to kill algae.

What lights, light cycleand fertiliser are you using? Maybe I can help :)

Finnex planted + I just use it with 24 hour mode or whatever it goes dim at night and brighter during day. I use excel but I have a very weird scheduled job so a lot of times I forget to dose.

It's a 20long filtered with a corner matter filter

Eco complete substrate

Stock- puffer
Apisto caucatouties? breeding pair
Reticulated hillstream loach
Clown pleco 2"
1 amano shrimp
And 1 platty I need to get rid of but haven't been to lfs In a while

Matten** filter

I did have the tank On a timer with lights going Max for 10 hours a day but I got really bad hair algae.

Hillstreams may not do well in there. You have to dose some macros and micros, nutrients. Otherwise excel won't do much
