It's been almost a week and I'm not seeing that legendary dorado aggressiveness. He let a 3inch red tailed giant gourami punk him as well as current tank boss the 5inch dat. Hopefully the dorado stays nice but I figure chances are slim. Very active fish that spends time riding the power head current around.

Nice purchase. Wes got some good stuff.

Just wait till it puts on some size. I'm sure the dorado won't disappoint. Will be beating up tankmates soon.

I grew out 2 Salminus brasiliensis to around 18" and it was constantly getting tail fin nipped by smaller Dat. It would punk my tarpon or other brycon species.

I just sold my datnoid because I noticed him always taking cheap shots at dorado. He was all dark and seemed to hate the dorado so he had to go, besides I have realized I enjoy the constant movement of the dorado more.

Love your redhooks ; dorado are awesome fish. Grow up to be nice looking, but a pain to keep with other fish; they are mean as hell!
