Establishing dominance, that's a sweet pic it's hard to capture it. You've seen my tiled tanks I never clean the tiles shame on me:(. It's denitrifying the water column bOOsteN aUdI bOOsteN aUdI that's what I tell myself anyways ;)

I never clean the back or side glass. I'll vac. the bottom but leave the green LOL

You'vee seen my tanks all brown algea too, excess silicates and nitrate and some other reasons im sure o_O

Funny bc at one time I was using rodi water and adding trace elements and I still had the brown algae. Maybe the type of lights we use and/or ph?

Ph lighting or maybe hardness? I am going to pick up a luetus or 2 from Wes next year will be my last purchase this will be my fix for brown algae :)

I always wanted to add a plecos but I was afraid of adding one with my marble motoro
