Here is my royal. He has just about ate up his driftwood and he loves to hide in his new stump. Can someone tell me about the spines on the sides right under the eyes?? See pic...

what kind of driftwood is best for royals?

I have Malaysian DW, any soft DW is good.I particularly dont like using mopani DW bc it very hard.

just curious as to what everyone feeds their royal plecos?

Mine loves shrimp pellets and soft driftwood. He will also eat flake fishfood, cucumbers, pleco wafers and lettuce.
