is he scratching at them at all? I would consider treating for flukes. Can you get a clearer picture?

Shall get a few pics tomorrow. Will get home only by then.

Shall ask my wife to check if he is scratching himself against the gravel. Shall look for medication for flukes. Thanks.

Got back home late last night and morning was a rush to get back to work. Managed to do a water test with the API kit.

Readings are:
Ph 7.2
Ph [High range] 7.4
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5-10
Temp was set at 26 deg.

Did a water change, increased temp to 28 and added meds for external parasites.

Shall click a few pics tonight and upload.

Hope he gets alright

A few pics which i hope would be clear enough to diagnose.

Is it septicemia?

As you can see from the first pics, it has really worsened.

I've seen that blotchy pigment spotting on light colored
Midevils numerous times, in display tanks at my LFS. I really don't think it's a disease. You noted that the fish is acting normally. What looks odd to me is the uniformity and spacing between the pigment blotches. The fins look clear and healthy, and overall a nice looking fish. IMO no need to medicate at this point.

But it has gotten worse over the past one week and his appetite and behaviour has also taken a turn for the worse. Content to stay hidden behind the internal filter pointing downwards.

And his swimming when he comes out is kinda like a drunk dude driving a car. Bumps into stuff and is generally just sad to behold :(

It looks like a bacterial infection, especially since it is growing. I would treat with Seachem Kanaplex since it is readily absorbed by the skin.

If that is not available locally, try either Furan-2 or Jungle Fungus Clear (Walmart).

In that case I'd have to agree with the above listed bacterial infection opinion. Ive never had much luck treating bacterial outbreaks. Usually by the time the outward symptoms are seen, irrepairable damage has already been sustained on the inside.

My biggest mistake was not getting good pics first time out itself. Been treating the fish for parasites all this while :(

Started Melafix today afternoon.

Will that do or should i get Kanaplex [Not available locally, have to buy it online and would take 3-4 days to reach me].

Thinking it was parasite infection, i had ordered API General cure as well which would reach me tomorrow.

Kanaplex and Furan i can start in 3-4 days time if i order now. Jungle Fungus clear is not available here.
