""If you get an RTC to live it will eat every fish in that tank within two months then everything in your pond within a year.
They grow 2 inch plus a month in clean water and can hit 2 foot in a year. It will out grow everything.
You should have a filter, at least get a doing and make a home made sponge filter out of your are pump, lots of how to videos on youtYou.
Don't buy an RTC till you have more money, experience and a larger grow out tank like a 180g minimum, they can hit 5 foot and weigh 100kg.""

Yes. Then I hope to give the RTC to an aquarium or some other place where it will be taken.

Theres no filter on the tank? Oh geez, just gets better. I would just start from square one and start doing some research on fish keeping.

The problem with that is that there is no guarantee that you will be able to find a suitable home for the rtc once it gets too big for you to handle....chances are you won't and in the nil chance that you do,moving such a huge fish could be very stressful to it.
There are hundreds of other much more suitable and readily available catfish for you to select and care for without having to think about trying to give away in the near future.

My parents won't let me buy one. Anyway , I change the water always .(every week)
If you don't have a filter then you need to lighten the fish load and do more frequent water changes as a weekly change is not enough without one.Perhaps you could find some way to make money on your own and save up for a filter?

Yes I know , but the RTC couldn't stay full size in the pond so when it reaches about 30-35cm I'll give it away.I just like keeping an RTC. Anyway I've got 2 marble catfish who spawned in the pond and the eggs have hatched . Maybe you could help me there as well.?If you can could you pls go to the thread "feeding and taking care of my marble catfish fry.?"and help me out?.

I'll take a look at the thread, which section did you post it in?

Would a Tiger Shovel Nose Catfish be a thought because they don't grow as big and still really pretty?

That depends on the size of the pond.Though not as big as rtc tiger shovelnse are no slouches themselves in the size department.
