Type of FH and worth the price?

So you're getting one from Thailand tomorrow? If you go through Julie she guarantees a live fish as long as you are present during the delivery of the fish so you really shouldn't worry about DOA. I was worried as well and my transaction was professional and smooth with her. Also ask for a video of the fish, he looks similar to my take5 kamfa but it's hard to tell. I personally always look at the crosshead pearl and see if I like it and if it will fade when it gets bigger. I paid $300 for this fish excluding shipping. The last photo is before it was sent to me. The first couple are day 2. The video is before shipment.

Just remember it's all preference, if you like the fish don't let anybody else change your mind. While there is a way to grade them everyone has a preference on the part of the fish they like the most. Buy with confidence and remember you can always throw out offers. They wanted 500 for mine I offered 250 at first and settled at 300. Also ask if they are bred in house or if he gets them from a breeder in thailand and if so ask which breeder.

That is true. Thank you for your input. Original price was $270 and I got em down to $235. I think I will purchase it
 
I think it's fair, he probably paid 50-60 on shipping depending on if he had it imported. a kamfa with those pearls and if it has a nice cross head pearl i would say is worth $170-180 to me.

Ya he told me that he had it imported. He has some nice stock. He has a really nice Kamfa coming in next weekend that he told me would run for $350-400. I imagine he payed prolly around $240 to get the little guy in, and he’s only 2”

That being said I really hope my other FH gets in safely tmw! So fingers crossed on that one!

Flowerhorn aren’t a horrible fish in my opinion, we are all allowed to have an opinion. I would suggest trying one and you’ll see why we all agree here in this forum that we like it.

I spoke with the transhipper and my FH will be here before noon! I will post pics in the coming days or so!
