Have you noticed any increase in rate of growth since putting her in the 300?

She's been in there before. I've had her for 4 or 5 yrs now. Wife's said she's grown a little over the past year.

Hows the red wolf, still in one piece?

so far she's doing good. Last night was a no food night. She's Soo small that it's hard for me to find her in the tank. I'm used to seeing the bigger polys and cats in there.

What about the other cat that was with the red wolf before, how is it doing?

I can't believe how good it's doing. Still beat up. Rad gash near the gills and scome scrapes. I'm shocked at how fast it bounced back.

i've always heard in my research of hets that the females grow substantially slower than the males and the species in general are slow growers

Same here. I have 8 of them and I'm starting to think I have 7 males. 7 of them have grown a pretty consistent rate and size but one little one is growing much slower and is currently 2 inches while the rest are at least 3

U guys could very well be right about the females. Ive had her for so long and with the slow growth rate I just can't tell. She can't be more than 6 maybe 6.5 inches. That's like little over an inch per yr....sheesh

Dude juuuuuust do it ! Lol
You get into Polys and set up a bichir tank it's gonna put everyone's to shame.

P.s. Anyone not familiar with his tanks needs to read up on some of his threads. At least check out his stickies in the ca/sa section. Mother nature couldn't do it better
Thanks jaws7777, that's very nice of you to say mate.

I will be looking more into polys. I want an active species and need to do some more research on them.
I'm keen to learn more about their natural habitats and what other, if any other species are found with them in the wild.
