No. Well maybe. But it would need to be filtered well before going into the rodi unit. The membrane would probably be clogged quite quickly costing more then the water you are trying to save.what about running the used water through a rodi system and put it back in the tank?
Get more plants that love water, maybe a bald cypress or a potted willow

You'd only save 1/4 to 1/10th of the water by running it through an ro filter. The rest would be waste.
Could distill it and recover near 100%. But then you'd be paying hundreds of dollars for power.
Solar distillation is free but isn't feasible in all locations/seasons. Still have to remineralize the water though.
