Aggressive P. Afer Knifefish video...

Did you guys know they were this aggressive? They are beautiful knifefish, though!

Any idea what people have successfully kept with this knife species longterm?

Mine carries on that way from time to time and I have read accounts from ither members who's afers have behaved similarly.
Mine has lived with dats for the past five years or so.

What have you kept successfully with your p. afer knife longterm?

Also, I looked up the lenticulata pike cichlid. The pike in that video doesn't look like the lenticulata. Does anyone know what kind of pike it is?

How large is the knife now? Is it a slow grower like a black ghost knife or does it grow quickly like a clown knife?

Mine is about twenty inches and I would say that their growth is a bit on the slow side.

Would you say that large clown loaches, like in the 7"+ range would be safe with him or would he be able to swallow them?

I don't think that it could swallow a CL that size,afers have rather small mouths.
