I’d say you may he pushing the stock unless you plan to thin out. My setup is 600 gallons and I only have six bass. Tankmates are four pikes, 3 Severus, 3 L24’s, a flagtail, and an Arowana. I plan to add 3-4 Adult Astronotus Crassipinnis and I think I’m pushing it too much.

If you thin your bass down to five or six since you have the large cats, I think you’re good. All depends on filtration and water change regime.

I do it at once. I use Seachem Safe powder. I water my lawn with the waste water.
