hi all-
first post here, i don’t think i’m allowed to post links yet but i’ll try and get an image up for reference
i do a deep clean of my tank weekly, levels are nearly always stable - always near perfect - but the past few days i’ve noticed these larger white marks on my fire eel Waffles. my two fancy tailed ryukin are also starting to exhibit signs of frayed fins, something i’ve never encountered before. my partner has felt with two ick outbreaks in his tanks and i’m fairly positive this isn’t what that is.
i’m still fairly new at this, so any and all help is hella appreciated

Have you tested all your water parameters.

Can you post them?
well, i poured the test tubes out hours ago. all i can say is they were all zero. ph was balanced, and the water isn’t overly hard. i mean, i have nothing to gain from lying since ammonia burns are a big deal?‍♀️

Have they been eating and acting normally?

oh yea, big appetites all around, Waffles is really friendly and hand feeds shrimp and krill, the ryukin follow me around and are active as always. no clamped fins, no rubbing or gasping or hiding
