Large spray tanks to fish tanks?

Where do you live that someone would install tanks in the basement that store potentially hazardous chemicals?

I don't think anyone can give you an honest answer on whether they would be safe to use. You might want to check with a company that specializes in identifying and cleaning those types of tanks locally.

Any chance of some pics of them?

Well, the lady that lived in this house before me was pretty scared about y2k so she had the house built on top of them. She must have thought that she would store water in them or something crazy like that. Also, there are actually 3 100 gallon tanks and 1 400 gallon tank.

Activated carbon has limited uses to adsorb stuff so no guarantee.

Have you checked inside or smelled inside the tanks?

You never know what that woman used the tanks for, it could have been water, sewage, gasoline, fuel oil, or kerosene if she was worried about Y2K.

Can you post a couple pics of the tanks?
