Hey everyone, I just wanted to share this project I've been working on. It's the install of a window into a ibc tote. I used 1/4" polycarbonate. My total cost so far on the project is $60. I wanted to possibly show people a cheap alternative to a full out aquarium. If the project is a success, I will be doing a 1000+ gallon tank on the future. Here's a link to the YouTube video I've made so far. I also have a video of it being filled with water. I will hopefully post more videos this weekend of the lid and sump being built.

Very strong stuff, doesn't scratch. 250 times stronger than glass supposedly. We use it on race cars. I found a kit online called (window kit for aquarium). I just copied the materials in the kit.
Makes sense. I have tank lids made of pc. I guess the tank window is a good application for a material like that then. Keep the updates comin. I have a 450g water storage tank that could see a similar fate.

Please post updates on this tank. I've wanted to use an ibc tote as a tank for a while but I never liked the whole having to look at it from above part.

Yea, sorry guys, been busy on the home front, girlfriend got a new puppy this weekend. Hands where full, didn't get a whole lot done. I'm still waiting on some plumbing parts to come in. Water has been in tank for over 4 1/2 Days now without a drop spilled. Tank seems to be holding good. It might get a little extra reenforcement in a couple spots to help with bowing where I cut the cage.

The reason I want to reenforce it is really only to get the polycarbonate to lay slightly flatter to get a better non Distorted view.
