Kelberi peacock bass tank size?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
To put it simply peacock bass don’t have the activity level of a rock, an 18 inch fish that is decently active will need far more space than an 18 inch fish that acts like a rock, 6 inches of space to turn around is absolutely not going to work. Think about it like this, would you like to live in a closet?

There’s nothing wrong with asking, that’s how we learn :)

An 8ft.x 30" would work for 3 kells my Kell is 17" he's 3 years old about He can still grow and is .the bigger the better.

Ok sorry for asking I just heard its possible

Possible? Of course, it's possible...

People sent to third-world prisons live out their lives in tiny, filthy, cramped cells...because it's possible. Chickens on factory farms live out their short, miserable lives in boxes...because it's possible. But...it's also cruel and inhumane.

What exactly have these cichlids done that deserves this harsh punishment?

We shouldn't be keeping fish in conditions that are merely "possible" for their survival. The goal should be to create near-ideal conditions. That can't be done in a 200-ish gallon tank for even one 20-inch active fish, let alone three.
