Anybody knows any sellers of these cats?

A good idea in theory but who will take care of them when you’re gone? Will they adequately maintain them? Water changes? Lots of expenses for the school to foot. Who’s to say they won’t break it down soon?
1.The school has people that take care of the animals during vacations and such.
2. My rare fish would not be going to the school those ones would be staying with me the aquaculture fish would be staying at both my house and the school.
3. I know somebody is going ask this because I’m aware of some the full grown sizes of some of the catfish and in that case I’ll be honored if thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter would allow me too donate them too his public aquarium if they were too get to big and I dont have the 600 gal made by then, also on the plus side I only live 2 hours away from Jupiter, Florida.

How did you land on these particular species? Not trying to criticize your interest at all, just legitimately curious about the context because its appears to be a very random assortment.

4.Luciopimelodus pati several people in UK reported having them; never seen in the US

5.Pangasius bocourti never seen for sale

6.Helicophagus typus never seen for sale

7.Helicophagus waandersii never seen for sale

8.Pangasius larnaudii sporadically offered for sale, hard to acclimate, keep, highy nervous fish; have 1 for 5-7.

9.Ageneiosus militaris never met, never knew about it

10.Ageneiosus inermis never seen for sale, other more attractive cats from the genus are often available

...

I appreciate the thought. No one in their right state of mind would object to trying to keep any of these fish if donated.

Okay so for Pangasius larnaudii if I were too find it for sale I would have too have it in a species only tank with a few others, do you know how much they commonly priced for.

10.Ageneiosus inermis never seen for sale, other more attractive cats from the genus are often available
What are the other Ageneiosus that are commonly offered?

Well, I can tell you that Ageneiosus valenciennesi and A. militaris are the same species...militaris is the correct name.

The South American fish you mention (except Ageneiosus inermis) are all found only in the La Plata Basin meaning primarily southern Brazil/Argentina. Although Brazil has a big aquarium fish industry, there are really tight regulations on exporting fishes that have any value in commercial fisheries. It's also a much more populated area, so the rules and bureaucracy are more strictly enforced. That's a big part of why we these fish practically never make it into the hobby.

Oh I didn't know that Ageneiosus valenciennesi and Ageneiosus militaris were the same species.

Okay so the chance of me being able to find/buy these fish from La Plata Basin are slim too nothing.
