I've never been sure about this morph, where it was from and how reliable it is that if you get one, it will grow to be something like this amazing fish in the photo.

Does anyone know if this can be trusted? I mean what Mike's got? (BTW I am not finding this fish on AquaScape site...) I don't like the bloody, red eye on that specimen, looks like an illness.

Thank you for this. I messed up. I looked at AquaScape (also run by a Mike). This is Aqua Imports. My bad.

Expensive. $100 for 2"-3" and up to $350 for one footer.

That just looks like a regular one imo, but I am no expert I have never owned one just from what ive seen online the tocantins are really gold and not just tan.
