Smallest Fish You Wish Became Monsters

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
since 12” seems to be the standard. Lol
A school of 12” Exodon would be scary.

I guess technically we already have piranha that big.
I was gonna say exos, but yeah, that’s why we have piranhas. It would be nice to have 12 inch exos so that they could be safely mixed with piranhas though :naughty:

I have zero wishes for small fish to be monsters.

On the contrary...there are plenty of monster fish that I wish would remain smaller and more manageable.

Is that wrong? ?

Your not wrong. Many people who keep goldfish stunt them so they can’t get big, sure they live in a tiny tank/bowl for live, but that doesn’t mean their life is long lol

With all the hypotheticals that we seem to discuss i thought this could be fun and creative.

I was in one of my lfs looking at some of the smaller community tropical fish and it got me thinking, what’s a small community/tropical fish you wish got huge? Something that could be in a monster tank.

For me I would really love to have 4-5 redtail black sharks that hit 12+ inches, I think that’d be awesome in a 300+ aquarium.
Before I finished reading this, the RTS was gonna be my choice lol

For me it would be Convict Cichlids. They don't get as big now, but if I they were a monster fish that could support all their bullying with the size and strength to back it up, I can't imagine. I was actually just thinking about this a few months or so back when I had to take my Convict back due to it being hyper-aggressive towards my fish who were 2-3 times bigger than it was :nilly:....
Way back I had a 7” male pink convict and he was an absolute beast. I imagine he could’ve taken on anything 12” and under and some bigger
