Anyone have a lead on this? Super hard to find...and when I can find it its a drive, plus a special order, plus its very fine grit.

Tractor supply only sells 90 grit from what I can see online.

Ebay I can find one 30-40 grit and it is twice as much money and doesnt even look red. Id appreciate any and all input if people are still using this. Thanks

They had some garnet at my tractor supply when I picked up my black blast, I can’t remember what grit though. I need a few more bags. I’ll try and remember to grab some pics of what they have in store. Plan on going out tomorrow.

I've seen a few members use this and recommend it, usually in creating west African polypterus based biotopes.

J jaws7777 had the deep red garnet blasting sand in his polypterus tank, I cant remember the brand though. I will look through the archives...

Im near WI to go up and grab plenty from a supplier in the industrial district of Milwaukee and they are not online i had to call and find out myself after getting lead where its cheaper from a fish club member. It depends on where you are from. Contact Garnet for who they sell to in your area. It was cheap for me at 10 buck per 50lb bag for the red flint sand

Actually my supplier was actually Garnet abrasive itself so might be a different company on my end here. OOPS. Garnet abrasives is out of Milwaukee WI as well, my bad. Two different companies. It does list several states itself. Where are you from

I used to go to Garnett Abrassives in Milwaukee when I lived there, they also carried filtration sand for water plants and in array of sizes and types.
I believe they supplied many of the aquarium shops in that area.

The best garnet sand is Barton 36cg imo.
I looks nice, and it is the perfect grit size.
The only issue is that it takes forever to ship. I think I waited almost 2 months for my Barton to arrive.
